Remedy

Fact

Conditions

Swelling
Softened all over.

condition8
(1) Oil and rubber material are incompatible.
(2) Influence of cleaning liquid.
(1) Change to oil resistant rubber material.
(2) Change cleaning liquid.
(3) Remove cleaning liquid.

Deterioration
Loss of elasticity of rubber and broken into pieces.

condition9
(1) High oil temperature.
(2) Oil and rubber material are incompatible.
(3) Deterioration of oil.
(1) Change to heat resisting and oil resisting rubber material.
(2) (3) Renew oil.

Dents
Small dents on the sliding face.

condition10
(1) Dust and cuttings embedded in the sliding face due to poor cleaning.
(2) Embedded foreign materials in oil or embedded oxidized products due to oil oxidization.
(1) Fully clean the equipment.
(2) Renew oil.

Breaking
The sliding lip of packing is cracked or tipped in an arc shape. (piston seal)

condition11
(1) Excessive back pressure occurs. (1) Remove the cause of back pressure.
(2) Change to SPG (SPGW).
The lip part and the pocket are partly carbonized (burned).

condition12
(1) Burning by adiabatic compression of the residual air. (1) Operate at low pressure and speed at initial operation of cylinder and completely deaerate.
Cracks occur starting from the pocket of packing.

condition13
(1) Fatigue breaking due to frequent shock pressure.
(2) Breaking due to starting at low temperature.
(1) In case of rod, use buffer ring together.
(1) Improve rigidity of packing
(2) Change to packing of low temperature resistant rubber material.
(2) In case of piston, change to SPG (SPGW).
Scratch on sliding face.

condition14
(1) Deterioration of the packing material.
(2) Deterioration of oil.
(1) Change to heat resistant and oil resistant rubber material.
(2) Renew oil.
